A countryside barn conversion for four people, perfect for couples and families that are looking to explore Angus from a rural base.

Located 6 miles from the village of Kirriemuir, this cottage is set with views of the rolling moors and is the tranquil escape you have been searching for. Kirriemuir is home to Glamis Castle and gardens, a former royal residence and birthplace of Princess Margaret, which is open to the public for tours. The village is also the birthplace of JM Barrie, the author of ‘Peter Pan’, and his home is now owned and exhibited by the National Trust.

Your Home from Home

The cottage entrance leads right into the large kitchen/diner, which is a bright space made very cosy with the addition of a wood burner. The kitchen contains an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee filter machine and washer/dryer. The dining table is set right beside the window so you can enjoy the views outside whilst seating four people.

The kitchen leads through to the lounge, which has been tastefully furnished to provide a homely yet stylish space for relaxing in. There are plenty of board games and books to entertain yourselves during your stay, as well as a TV/DVD.

The master double bedroom is located at the front of the cottage and has been furnished with touches of tartan and beautiful canvas prints. The twin bedroom is located at the rear of the property and is the room with the highest ceiling in the whole cottage, giving the feel of a house rather than a small cottage. In between both bedrooms, there is a shower room with shower and WC, conveniently placed for access by both bedrooms.

Outside, the garden is open and made up mainly of grassed area to the rear of the cottage.

High up in the Angus Glens the cottage has outstanding views for miles across the moors and glens. It is absolutely beautiful in this hidden area of Angus and very peaceful with little but the sound of farm animals and birds.

From here you have endless miles to walk or drive north to Glenshee in winter for skiing. Carnoustie, Rosemount and even St Andrews are achievable for golfers and nearby Perth has all the facilities you could need.
